Although many Canadians are enjoying the day off today as they round out their long
weekends, today also marks another special day. This August 1 marks the opening of the CN Tower’s
much-anticipated EdgeWalk in Toronto. While some news reporters have already tried
their hand at the extreme attraction, it’s now open to the general public.
For $175, EdgeWalkers get to take a 20 to 30-minute outdoor group walk around the
world’s highest full circle hands-free walk, with the CN Tower measuring in at 356m/1168ft (116 stories)
above the ground. Although the attraction may not be for the faint of heart, thrill seekers can take relief
in the overhead safety harness that will secure them during their walk on the
edge.
