Now a dependable highlight in Toronto, Summerlicious
is coming back for its eighth year in the city. It will be on from July 9 to 25.
During Summerlicious, some of Toronto’s top restaurants establish three-course prix fixe menus at $15, $20 or
$25 for lunch and $25, $35 or $45 for dinner (plus taxes and tip).
Beyond affordability, Summerlicious is a marvelous opportunity to discover a new favourite restaurant and
enjoy variety as a spice of life in a wonderful summer month.
A buzz also overtakes the city as patios and restaurants are packed to the brim — all for a love of decadent
and delicious cuisine and culture.
This year, 150 diverse restaurants are participating. They are mostly downtown, but the spread covers nearly
everywhere, including Etobicoke and the Danforth.
As far as flavours go, you can find anything from Moroccan to Japanese. A good number of the venues are also
mindful to offer a vegetarian selection for every course.
You may also recognize Summerlicious as the twin to Winterlicious, which offers similar deals from late
January to mid-February.
For Summerlicious regulars, new restaurants in 2010’s line-up are: Ame, Banu, Il Fornello, King St. Social,
KiWe Kitchen, Lisbon by Night, Local Company, Nyood, Sagano and Stonegrill.
For newcomers, popular spots are often ones based in Yorkville, like Sassafraz. They’re often the most
prestigious, and chances are a celebrity has sat at the table you have. That certainly adds another endearing
element to your dining experience.
Beer and wine also take the limelight as Vincor Canada, known for popular brands such as Jackson-Triggs and
Inniskillin, will be offering local and international wines; and Kronenbourg, brewing in France since 1664,
will be providing the beer.
Everything else you need to see is here, from menus, to types of
cuisine, to wheelchair accessibility. This website can also be accessed on the go from your Android or
iPhone, or you can call 311 from any other phone.
Restaurants are open for reservations starting on June 24; however, American Express cardholders can book
early on June 22 and 23. Book as soon as you can, because tables will go fast. Be sure to ask for the patio
when you can!•
